Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received another death threat, this time along with a demand for Rs 2 crore. Following this, the Mumbai police have filed an FIR against an unidentified individual, an official confirmed on Wednesday.
The threat was communicated to the Mumbai traffic police through an anonymous message stating that the actor would be killed if he failed to pay the demanded amount. The police are currently investigating the matter.
Earlier this month, the traffic police's WhatsApp helpline received a threat demanding Rs 5 crore from Khan, which led to the arrest of a suspect in Jamshedpur.
Additionally, the Mumbai police recently apprehended a man in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly issuing death threats to both Salman Khan and NCP leader Zeeshan Siddique.
This is not the first time Khan has faced such threats; he previously received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who even fired shots outside his Bandra residence in April. Earlier this year, the Navi Mumbai police uncovered a plot by the Bishnoi gang to kill Khan, prompting increased security measures for the actor.
